Customize your alerts

EvoDax keeps you informed with notifications about important events. This guide shows how to configure what notifications you receive and how.

Notification Types

Order Notifications

  • New order created
  • Order confirmed
  • Order cancelled
  • Order status changed

Delivery Notifications

  • Delivery completed
  • Delivery failed
  • Delivery delayed
  • Proof of delivery captured

Route Notifications

  • Route assigned
  • Route started
  • Route completed
  • Driver location updates

System Notifications

  • Low stock alerts
  • Document expiring (vehicle, driver)
  • User activity (logins, changes)
  • Billing alerts

Notification Channels

In-App

  • Bell icon in the dashboard
  • Real-time updates
  • Click to view details

Email

  • Sent to your account email
  • Can configure frequency
  • HTML formatted

Push Notifications

  • Mobile app alerts
  • Requires app installation
  • Instant delivery

SMS (Enterprise)

  • Text message alerts
  • For critical notifications
  • Additional charges may apply

Configuring Notifications

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Choose notification category
  3. Toggle channels for each type
  4. Set frequency preferences
  5. Save changes

Per-User Preferences

Each user can customize their own:

  1. Click your profile icon
  2. Select Notification Preferences
  3. Adjust settings
  4. Save

User preferences override company defaults.

Email Frequency

Control email notification frequency:

Instant recommended for critical alerts.

Notification Rules

Set conditions for notifications:

Example Rules

  • Only notify on HIGH/URGENT priority orders
  • Alert when delivery is 30+ minutes late
  • Notify warehouse manager when stock < 50 units

Creating Rules

  1. Go to Settings > Notification Rules
  2. Click Add Rule
  3. Define conditions
  4. Choose recipients
  5. Save

Recipient Groups

Create groups for notifications:

Built-in Groups

  • All Admins
  • All Dispatchers
  • Warehouse Team (per warehouse)

Custom Groups

  1. Go to Settings > Notification Groups
  2. Create new group
  3. Add users
  4. Use in notification rules

Do Not Disturb

Pause notifications temporarily:

Personal DND

  1. Click notification bell
  2. Select Do Not Disturb
  3. Choose duration
  4. Critical alerts still come through

Scheduled Quiet Hours

  1. In notification preferences
  2. Set quiet hours (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM)
  3. Non-critical notifications held
  4. Delivered when quiet hours end

Notification History

View past notifications:

  1. Click the notification bell
  2. Scroll through history
  3. Click View All
  4. Filter by type or date

Troubleshooting

Not receiving notifications?

  1. Check notification preferences
  2. Verify email address
  3. Check spam folder
  4. Ensure push enabled in app

Too many notifications?

  1. Review notification rules
  2. Switch to digest emails
  3. Turn off low-priority alerts
  4. Set up quiet hours

Best Practices

  1. Enable critical alerts - Never miss important events
  2. Use digests for non-urgent - Reduce inbox clutter
  3. Set up mobile push - For time-sensitive items
  4. Review monthly - Adjust as needs change
  5. Create escalation rules - Ensure nothing falls through
