EvoDax includes inventory management to track stock levels, movements, and ensure you have products available for delivery.
Inventory Overview
Go to Inventory in the sidebar to see:
- Current stock levels by warehouse
- Low stock alerts
- Recent movements
- Inventory value
Adding Inventory Items
Initial Setup
- Go to Inventory
- Click Add Item
- Select the product
- Choose the warehouse
- Enter quantity
- Set reorder levels (optional)
From Products
- Go to Products
- Open a product
- Click Manage Inventory
- Add quantities per warehouse
Stock Levels
Track key metrics for each item:

Inventory Movements
Stock changes are tracked as movements:
Movement Types
- Receive - Stock coming in
- Ship - Stock going out (deliveries)
- Adjust - Corrections (damage, count)
- Transfer - Between warehouses
- Return - Customer returns
Recording Movements
- Open the inventory item
- Click Record Movement
- Select movement type
- Enter quantity and reason
- Confirm
All movements create an audit trail.
Low Stock Alerts
Get notified when stock runs low:
Setting Reorder Points
- Open inventory item
- Set Reorder Point (e.g., 50 units)
- Set Reorder Quantity (e.g., 100 units)
Alert Configuration
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Enable Low Stock Alerts
- Set recipients
- Choose alert threshold (at point, 10% above, etc.)
Stock Takes (Cycle Counts)
Verify physical inventory matches system:
Full Stock Take
- Go to Inventory > Stock Take
- Click New Stock Take
- Select warehouse
- Print count sheets
- Enter actual counts
- Review variances
- Apply adjustments
Cycle Counting
Count a portion regularly:
- Select items to count
- Count and record
- Investigate variances
- Repeat with next section
Inventory Reports
Access from Reports > Inventory:
- Stock Levels - Current quantities
- Movement History - All changes
- Valuation - Inventory value
- Turnover - How fast items sell
- Low Stock - Items below reorder point
Integration with Orders
When orders are created:
- System checks availability
- Stock is reserved (if enabled)
- Upon shipment, stock is deducted
- Insufficient stock triggers alerts
Inventory Reservation
Configure in Settings:
- Reserve on Order - Stock reserved immediately
- Reserve on Confirm - Reserved when confirmed
- No Reservation - Manual tracking only
Best Practices
- Regular counts - Verify accuracy monthly
- Investigate variances - Don't just adjust
- Set realistic reorder points - Based on lead times
- Use batch/lot tracking - For expiring products
- Review reports - Spot trends and issues
