A warehouse in EvoDax represents a physical location where your deliveries originate from. This could be a distribution center, depot, store, or any other location.
Why Warehouses Matter
Warehouses are central to your operations:
- Route optimization uses warehouse location as the starting point
- Inventory tracking is organized by warehouse
- Team members can be assigned to specific warehouses
- Dock scheduling manages inbound/outbound traffic per warehouse
Creating a Warehouse

Navigate to Warehouses in the sidebar

Click Add Warehouse

Fill in the required information:
- Name - A descriptive name (e.g., "Dublin Distribution Center")
- Code - A short identifier (e.g., "DUB01")
- Address - The full physical address
- City - The city where the warehouse is located

Optional settings:
- Phone number - Contact number for the warehouse
- Operating hours - When the warehouse is active
- Dock count - Number of loading docks available

Click Create Warehouse
Setting the Default Warehouse
If you have multiple warehouses, you can set a default:
- Go to Settings > General
- Under Default Warehouse, select your primary location
- New orders and routes will default to this warehouse
Warehouse Staff
Assign team members to warehouses:
- Open the warehouse details
- Click the Staff tab
- Click Add Staff
- Select a user and their position (Manager, Worker, etc.)
Staff members will only see data relevant to their assigned warehouse(s).
Managing Multiple Warehouses
As your business grows, you might need multiple locations. EvoDax supports:
- Unlimited warehouses (depending on your plan)
- Inter-warehouse transfers to move inventory
- Warehouse-specific reporting and analytics
- Regional grouping for large operations
Tips
- Use consistent naming conventions for warehouse codes
- Keep address information accurate for route optimization
- Update operating hours if they change seasonally
- Assign at least one manager per warehouse for accountability
